with a Magnetic Stripe, Barcode, or Proximity reader.

The $mart Clock Model
225 is housed in a high impact ABS sealed plastic case.
A full menu system
for all configuration settings is included to allow the user to modify the
baud rate, clock ID, parity, etc.
The $mart Clock Model
225 is a multitasking device with the ability to read employee cards and
communicate with the computer at the same time.
The $mart Clock Model
225 is a programmable terminal utilizing a 22-MHz 80C32 Intel
microprocessor.
Our newest $mart Clock is RoHS
compliant. RoHS is
a new
regulation that requires certain electronic items to be as lead-free as
possible, along with the Removal of other Hazardous Substances.
The RS-232 port on
the $mart Clock Model 225 is powered by the Maxium232 Communications
Driver. This chip has its own built-in charge pump to provide true RS-232
communications.
The RS-485 port on
the $mart Clock Model 225 connects (Daisy-Chain) up to 32 $mart Clocks with
an overall cable distance of 4000 feet.
The $mart Clock uses
pass through technology to allow the first $mart Clock connected to the PC
to act as the RS-232 to RS-485 converter. This pass through technology also
allows a $mart Clock equipped with an external modem in a remote building
the ability to daisy chain up to 32 additional $mart Clocks via RS-485 with
communications rates from 1200 to 19.2K baud.

225 can be equipped with an ethernet board or
WI-FI adapter for network connectivity.
The display on the
$mart Clock 225 is a 2x16 super twist back-lit LED with a pixel character
size of 5x7 providing incredible contrast, wide viewing angle and
readability from over 10 feet.
The $mart Clock Model
225 is equipped with a real time clock chip with its own lithium battery.
The $mart Clock has
FLASH memory to enhance the reliability of the employee data (10 years min.
retention).
The $mart Clock Model
225 is installed with 128K on board.
The $mart Clock Model
225 can be equipped with a high energy track 2 magstripe
reader, a bi-directional infrared barcode reader, or an
HID or other proximity (RFID) reader and optional external 26 bit
Weigand input.

225 is designed with noise reduction differential mode noise protection;
500 volt spike protection (AC line); and 2000 volt ESD protection.
A single pole single
throw high voltage relay capable of switching 120 volts AC or DC at 2 Amps.
